Three Days in Krakow: The Comprehensive Visit

Three days lets you experience Krakow like a local, not just a tourist.

DAY 1 — OLD TOWN IMMERSION

Morning: Main Square, Cloth Hall, St. Mary's Basilica, Rynek Underground. Lunch at Charlotte or the market stalls at Hala Targowa.

Afternoon: Wawel Castle (State Rooms, Royal Private Apartments, Crown Treasury — book online, each requires separate ticket). Wawel Cathedral with tower and royal crypts.

Evening: Dinner on the Main Square terrace at Szara Gaweda, then walk the Planty park ring at dusk.

DAY 2 — KAZIMIERZ, PODGORZE & THE WAR

Morning: Kazimierz walking tour — synagogues, cemeteries, Plac Nowy. Coffee at Karma Coffee.

Afternoon: Cross to Podgorze — Ghetto Heroes Square, Eagle Pharmacy, Schindler's Factory museum. Walk to the Krakus Mound for sunset.

Evening: Dinner at Nowa Rola in Podgorze or back to Kazimierz for Starka. Late-night drinks at Forum Przestrzenie riverside.

DAY 3 — BEYOND THE CENTER

Morning: Wieliczka Salt Mine (depart early, 3-hour visit including travel). OR: Nowa Huta tour by vintage car (3 hours).

Afternoon: National Museum or Czartoryski Museum (Lady with an Ermine). Shopping for souvenirs at Stary Kleparz market.

Evening: Splurge farewell dinner at Bottiglieria 1881 or Copernicus Restaurant rooftop. Final drinks at Alchemia.

With three days, you can also fit in: a cooking class (pierogi workshop takes 3 hours), a bike ride along the Vistula to Tyniec Abbey, or a thorough exploration of the National Museum branches.
